Cisco's John Chambers said he would work 3 to 5 years

Today Cisco Systems CEO John Chambers, says he recently committed to staying on the job for another three to five years: "I love what I'm doing. I'm in." He also reiterated a long-term target of 12-17% revenue growth per year. During his tenure, the company has grown revenue to $40B from $1.2B.

Cisco was the Dow's best performer, with a gain of 37 cents (1.6%) to $23.72, while Microsoft climbed 40 cents (1.5%) to $26.86. Microsoft Chief Executive Steve Ballmer said on Thursday that the era of the personal computer is far from over.
